Claire Kinkead

Claire first came to Clinic Equilibrium as a student in January 2016. She became a dedicated attendee of our weekly reformer classes, and her passion for Pilates grew. So much so that she decided to take the Pilates teaching path as a career change. Claire became a qualified Body Control Mat Pilates teacher in 2018 and has been teaching Mat classes at Equilibrium ever since.

Claire has loved training with Body Control and has also completed her Pre &  Post Natal Pilates training, as well as Bone Health specialities.  Keen to continue developing her knowledge as a teacher, Claire has enrolled to become a Master Level 4 Pilates Teacher.

Claire also has a keen interest in women’s health and has trained in Pfilates for the pelvic floor and can prescribe a program to help with pelvic floor dysfunction such as UI and prolapse. Mental Health is an area Claire is keen to try and help clients with and is currently studying with the Mind Charity for Mental Health Sports & Physical Activity run by 1st for Sport.

“I learnt the benefits of Pilates first-hand over 10 years ago, and also the importance of developing core strength & proper alignment. Pilates has provided me with a sense of total wellbeing.

"I am passionate about Pilates and love to teach clients to improve their own sense of wellbeing through Pilates. I believe Pilates is a journey - it's hard work...  and fun!”
